Meet the Step by Step Team
Pia Stampe, PT, DPT
Founder and Owner of Step by Step
and Key to CP Intensives
Step by Step is a private practice that was opened in 2010 as an outpatient physical therapy practice. Over the years the clinic has expanded to also provide occupational therapy, speech therapy and feeding therapy. Additionally, we also provide intensive therapy for children, teens and adults with cerebral palsy (visit our website www.keytocp.com for more information).
We have families from our local area around Rochester, NY who bring their children to our center for outpatient services and we have families from as far as New Zealand and Europe, who bring their children to clinic for services as part of our interdisciplinary Key to CP intensive therapy approach.
As the owner of Step by Step, I am grateful for the fantastic team of talented and dedicated therapists who have made this clinic what it is today and for the mentorship of Karen Pape, MD. It is my hope that we can provide your family with exceptional therapy.

Our physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists are highly trained and experienced professionals. We take great pride in providing individualized, quality care. We are trained to work with children from birth through 18 years with a wide variety of diagnoses. On a daily basis, our therapists work together as a team to assess and treat the clients who come to Step by Step. Our treatment rooms are designed with children and families in mind and include a variety of child friendly, fun equipment. Our clients work hard to achieve their therapy goals when they come to therapy and celebrate many victories!
